Breaking away from the myth that the company is more about corporate software services than consumer products and also specifically on the product enhancement capabilities of Windows Mobile 6.x.
has done it again! Breaking away from the myth that the company is more about corporate software services than consumer products and also specifically on the product enhancement capabilities of Windows Mobile 6.x. I was one of the early adopters of Windows Mobile 6.1 when it got released and was sceptic about how the future versions of WM would look and perform. Windows Phone 7 Series is really ground breaking and have gone beyond and above.
Microsoft

With a holistic design that brings together web content, applications and services into a single view, phones worship you now, not the other way around. You could have a quick preview of the features offered by Windows Phone 7 Series below. Please ensure you install the latest version of Silver Light (browser add-on) from here.

Seu browser não suporta iframes.

As you might have noticed by now that the branding name also changed from Windows Mobile to Windows Phone hoping to connect closely with consumers. Experience also changed from an opening and closing applications way of operation (like an in and out) to seamless content flow across multiple content presentation areas like photos, video, people etc. This surely improves user experience and it makes the user a much better feeling about being in control than being controlled with respect to mobile experience. This also opens up the possibilities of extending (or rather driving users to demand) a similar experience in their desktop environment leading Microsoft to pave it way for their upcoming desktop operating system.

Windows Phone 7 Series for sure is going to change our lives, in a better way, and take us to the next wave of computing both in mobile / phone world as well as a stepping stone to desktop operating system environment.

By now the word is out about Nexus One the new Google Phone featuring the latest incarnation of Android. An amazing combination of hardware and software, the Nexus One is a beautiful and powerful phone that seamlessly merges mobile communication, the internet and powerful applications from Android market. Or in Google’s own tag word “Web meets phone”.

Nexus One in UK

If you don’t want to wait till the official UK launch, you could grab Google’s iPhone rival online via google.com/phone both unlocked and SIM free. It’s easy to personalize your Nexus One phone. While placing an order through Google’s Phone Webstore you could chose to confirm two lines of personal message which would get engraved on the back of the phone. Engraved phones will ship within 72 hours of placing your order.

Engraved Google Nexus One Phone

You can choose to purchase the Nexus One from the Google Phone Webstore without service for about £330 ($529 USD) plus £30 and import tax (to UK) of £63 making a total of around £423. Discounted prices are available with qualifying T-Mobile US service plans. The phone recognizes SIM cards from any mobile service provider using the GSM standard, but is incompatible with the frequency band used by the AT&T and Rogers networks for 3G data. Additionally, the Nexus One is incompatible with CDMA networks such as Verizon and Sprint.

So, here we are months later with an actual, bona fide Hero in our midst. Yes the reports were true, it is a beautiful device, both inside and out (though of course opinions differ on that chin). But does being a beautiful device mean Android is about to move to a bigger stage? Is HTC's spit-shine enough to overcome some of the hurdles that have plagued the platform? That question -- and more -- is answered in engadget’s HTC Hero full review.

Be brave, be yourself

Make it your Hero with personalisation that let you create a phone just for you. Stay close to those who matter with communication based on people – not technology. And discover intuitive experiences that make everything you do on your phone effortless and delightful.

The HTC Hero has been an object of lust for some time now for gadget enthusiasts. Even from the earliest days of leaked hardware shots and blurry demo videos of its UI, smartphone fans seemed to agree that the company had finally achieved what has been missing in the world of Android. Namely, a polished and attractive device — polished enough to go head-to-head with the iPhone — that kept its open source heart.

engadget’s HTC Hero full review

So, here we are months later with an actual, bona fide Hero in our midst.
